Swearing and stuff

2) I agree with Mike (I want to be just like Mike, you know) about the
"N" word. I don't normally like people who use nigger out of hate. They
still have the right to say it and I have the right to say they are
ignorant, racist bastards. Isn't the MOI great? When I was in high
school and my dad heard me say "fuck" he told me to stop talking like the
god damn spicks. Which one of us is worse in the long run? Me for using
a word that the normal white, male society says is bad or my racist
father? (This, of course is the same man who told me to turn off that
nigger music when I was listening to AC/DC in my room.) Rage Against the
Machine has some good thoughts of fighting the norm. Listen to them
sometime if you already haven't. But beware, they say fuck quite a bit
so you may be offended.

3) I never said that Pat Robertson supporters where 2nd class citizens
but nice straw argument, Glen. I said that they, and MY grandma (I have
nothing inherently against grandmas), were knee-jerk reactionaries. I
don't think this makes them 2nd class citizens. Hell, some of my best
friends are knee-jerk reactionaries (right, Krug). I don't think Pat
Robertson supporters are 2nd class citizens; I'd even play Magic with
them and bullshit the night away (though I think Magic is on their "to
censor" list since it is satanic, so I guess that thought is out). Would
I swear in front of my grandma? Well, they are dead, but I swear in
front of my mom, does that count. I have kids and will possibly be a
grandparent in the future. I won't care if my grandchildren swear when
talking to me. Again, a caveat--unfortunately, we do live in a world
when the puritan ethic holds fast in the US, so I realize that my child
would be shunned if she walked around kindergarten saying "fuck this,
fuck that". Sad, but true. I will raise her to think the right way (my
way, of course) and realize that a lot of people are wrong (just like
about eating flesh).
