   You know absolutely nothing about my life.  I wish i could be in a 
sheltered area, academia or otherwise.  My family was poor (verging on
destitute) growing up, I've been working since I was 12, I've been without
shelter, been without jobs, only eaten four dinners a week...  The LAST
thing I need is someone who thinks they can tell me what the "real world"
is like.  I am not telling you this to get any sympathy. Sympathy and a
dollar will get you a candy bar. I am telling you this to point out that 
throughout all this, my family and I managed to get by without saying "fuck
this and fuck that" (yes, I do know the words) all the time.  There are
plenty of people in the "real world" who get by without insulting, degrading,
and attacking other people.  Too bad there aren't more.  I'll bet if we try
REAL hard, we communication professionals could get our points across
without cussing and attacking others.
