Mentoring Program

One of the ideas that our summer meeting produced was to develop a mentoring
program designed to help graduate students and young coaches with their
professional development especially in the area of scholarship.  I have
volunteered to organize and implement this program and hope that you will join
me in making it a success.  I need individuals to volunteer for both mentoring
and being mentored.  If you are interested, please contact me at ccrensha@ua1vm
.ua.edu

Mentors will be asked to contact and support one or two young professionals.
This might include reading manuscripts in the pre-submission phase, advice
giving about publication outlet selection, brainstorming about how to develop
a respected line of research and any other helpful support.

Young professionals will be matched with an appropriate mentor.

If you are interested in partcipating,   please supply me with your relevant
contact information as well as any suggestions for initiating this program.
