Topic papers or at least minimal defenses of specific resolutions are
preferable
to a list of possible resolutions. When people post their ideas I like
to see wha
t ground division they think will result.

Jim H. argues that if we picked the topic "Resolved: Latin America."
affirmatives
 would choose primarily approaches that were not particularly debatable.

sure. I doubt that he, given this resolution, would read a 1AC or defend
in 2AC a
n aff that said '2 guys in Brazil should sing happy b-day'. I don't
think most de
baters would. Berman probably would but I'm not sure about the rest of
the debate
rs out there. I am interested to hear their views. So debaters out
there:  what w
ould you do?

I am intrigued by the non-US agent resolutions and would like to see one
on the b
allot.
