IMPACT Workshops
Dear Friends:
Once again, we invite all CEDA, NDT and HS debaters in the tri-state area
(NY, NJ and CT) to attend the IMPACT URBAN WINTER WORKSHOP SERIES from
Jan. 13-18. Sessions will be held at the New School for Social Research
Graduate Faculty Center Building located at 65 Fifth Avenue (14th Street
and Fifth) in Rooms 303-306 on weekdays from 4:00pm-6:30pm with evening
sessions from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Workshops serve as a mechanism for students
in transition (from novice to jv, or jv to open) and for students with
children or who work during the academic semester to receive
individualized attention structured around their work schedules. IMPACT
will draw lecturers from some of the finest former debaters and current
coaches in the New York area. All students will be videotaped. All
schools will receive complete brief packets. For the first time, the
Workshops will feature spearate tracks on Individual Events and Public
Forum Debate. Every participant at the 1996 Summer Workshop who competed
this Fall cleared to elims at least once. Fees--$20 for 10 sessions To
register or volunteer: call 212-529-9348 or e-mail wb2000@aol.com
