In answer to your plea, I'll  say that the first reason that I chose CEDA and not NDT is  
because our school was already participating in CEDA when I got here.  There has been  
talk on the team ever so often of switching to ADA or instituting a chapter of Pi Kappa  
Delta but never has there been talk of switching to NDT.  The second reason that I stay  
with CEDA and don't encourage a switch to NDT is that my coach is an advocate of  
staying with CEDA and coaches can be pretty persuasive (believe it or not).  The third  
reason  is that I've heard rumors of the use of speed (I know this was a well-discussed  
thread but I still stand by my opinions on the use of speed in many cases) and that the use  
of plans is a different type of debate that after talking to several people, just didn't seem  
interesting to me.  For someone who walked onto the debate boat when I got to college I  
must say that the attitude about NDT is definately negative...
