Re: CEDA-L digest 832

Without accusing anyone of a conspiracy against CEDA it strikes me that
this post gets to the heart of the matter. How many CEDA schools
actually hold high school institutes? which are nationally attended?
High schoolers will form their opinions based upon what they experience,
if they are spending their summers at NDT affiliated workshops it doesn't
seem all that surprising that they are uneducated about CEDA or that
there is a general perception that NDT is superior to CEDA. An
interesting sidenote: How many summer institutes are actually staffed by
CEDA debaters/coaches? I can name three Emory, Vermont, and Stanford
(Liz Slagle, former Emory debater worked there last summer). Not a whole
lot in the grand scheme of major national institutes.
