Games playing and the patriarchy of the left

I am interested in your use of the term "games philosophy" in this posting.

My understanding of the games paradigm for academic debate is that it gains
much of its explanatory power from the fact that it is inescapable. You can
escape hypothesis testing and the narrative as paradigms for debate (which
they are not, they are merely "decision rules" suggested as part of the
competitive debate), but you cannot escape the fact that it is a game, an
exercise in voluntary control systems, constrained by rules and procedures,
which produces a disequilibrial outcome.

Of course, I could be misunderstanding your interpretation of exactly what
"games philosophy" in a debate involves. Perhaps you could be more specific.
