Alta Conference: A Panel on Public Argument

A 'PUBLIC ARGUMENT' PANEL

I am interested in putting a panel together on components of public
argument for the ALTA conference. The paper I am planning will
focus on "procedural" elements of public argument (the nature,
form, and function of arguments over the conduct of argument in
public contexts, e.g., the Gore-Perot, NAFTA debate). The focus is
not on academic debate.

I am looking for individuals who might be interested forming a
panel with a theme centered around argument in public contexts.

As Dr. Bjork has noted, panels are due by March 1st. If you are
interested, and if you could have the ability to get a title and
abstract to me by Feb. 27th, then I will take responsibility for
putting the package together and getting it out to Becky.
