Stop Whining

To Craig Stowe and all of you who are whining about the overabundance of
messages on the CEDA-L. I agree that personal messages should be sent directly,
but other than that, people should not only be allowed to write in as much as
they would like, they should be *encouraged* to. I am sorry if it takes you a
lot of time to down load everything, but that's life. CEDA is a big group, and a
lot of the members want to talk. The only reason I don't contribute more than I
do is that I'm just to busy. If I had more time, there would be even more
lengthy messages on the list.

I'd be sorry to have anyone unsubscribe to the list, but if you feel that that
is what you need to do, than do it. Don't tell other people that they should
restrict their communication to limits that are convenient and pleasing to you.
Give me a break. I don't suggest to newspapers and magazines that I do not have
time to read or the money to purchase that they should restrict their
publication. Why should you suggest that people restrict their own publication
of their ideas? Why don't you restrict yourself?

Better yet, find a way to share an account with someone. Or be selective about
which threads you follow. Be creative --find ways to have access to the list
that will not cost as much or be as inconcvenient to you. But don't limit me or
the people whose discourse I enjoy very much.

Peace, love, and chocolate,

Laura Ellingson
