Position:	Lecturer/Assistant Director of Forensics

Starting Date:	August 1997

LOCATION:	Department of Communication
		New York State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS)
		Cornell University
		Ithaca, New York 14853

RESPONSIBLITIES:	Teach four sections of introductory speech communication
course each semester.  Assist with coaching dynamic, national-caliber forensics program emphasizing Individual Events and CEDA Debate.  Frequent tournament travel.

APPOINTMENT BASIS:	Nine-month, non-tenure track Lecture.  One year probationary appointment followed by renewable appointments, subject to performance, enrollment, or availability of funds.  Possibility of summer 
employment.

QUALIFICATIONS:		Masters degree with minimum of two years college-level teaching experience and college forensics coaching experience required.  Experience in CEDA or NDT debate particularly desirable. Ph.D. desirable.  The Department will hire on the basis of stated qualifications and a mix of second fields appropiate to departmental program development.
