Re: Tuna the censor

Well, it looks like we agree after all:

1. That I am not trying to censor.
2. That L discussions can be used in making some decisions.
3. That the answer to bad speech is more speech.
4. That you and I arew civil and polite to each other so we needn't be offended.

I guess we still disagree about some things:

1. Whether I should use what I read on CEDA-L in hiring people. Again, I
guess I would wonder about someone who tries to interpret which women want
to have sex with which judges based on no information and in a public forum
of strangers. Perhaps you would not. I guess I will use all the information
I can and let the chips fall where they may. You still seems to be
contradicting yourself by saying "people should be able to say whatever
they want but if you say jobs hang in the balance you shouldn't do that."

2. Whether negative emotions have an important place on the L. Again, I
guess you want more of a personal-social aspect to the L than I do, Fine.
Different needs for different steeds.

It looks like a computer screen to some, but it is really a podium we speak
at in an auditorium with about 500 people in it.

I also hate swearing and cursing in debate rounds. I'm so restrictive!
