I am pretty ashamed of the trash on our listserv lately. Overall I have
been pretty proud of CEDA-L. But, I think this recent splurge is a
manifestation of our organizational culture in some ways, in that we are
fairly open, not very staid, and rapidly evolving. This does not in any way
excuse some of the trash that even offended Tex and I.

I have been pretty effectively chilled from writing extensively on NDT-L by
the fact that I have received incredible hate email every time I post
calling me a "dumb asshole" and telling me to "go away and die." I received
the same when I asked about Clinton Cred, although I did receive many
excellent and helpful strategic suggestions, including one from you.

My concern is for all those who have made CEDA look stupid by constantly
circulating sophomoric, offensive, and insult laden stuff.

And since you are in a position of authority on this, can students with 8
semester of CEDA prolong their careers in NDT? Or is it case by case? You
post indicates that a student can ask for an emergency ruling prior to the
tournament. What do you know of the "Justman Rule" mentioned by Bear?

I have a lot of respect for you, Ross. Let's stick to the issues and try
and avoid insulting each others format.
