	But WHY would you flunk that style in the classroom?  Presumably, 
you'd do so because it was maladaptive to the audience.  Why else?  But 
speed isn't maladaptive to the audience of debate rounds.

	Additionally, there's the matter of whether a public speaking 
class should teach/evaluate ONLY the quality of the speaker.  Maybe such 
a course should try to produce students who are better audiences too.  A 
good speaker adapts to her audience, and a good audience adapts to its 
speaker.  I've found that, with a little practice, normal classrooms of 
students with no debate experience at all can be taught to adapt to fast 
speakers.
