Re: student judges -Reply
As a debater I would regularly go and watch debates after I was eliminated.
I usually would find a friend and we would go together and "add ourselves"
to the panel, flow as a judge, make a decision, tell the teams, and then
discuss it with each other after listening to the other, and "real,"
judges.
I found this to be an outstanding learning tool. It really helped me stay
busy on elim day later in my career. Of course, the fact that as a senior I
won 17 tosses in a row helped as well.
