Santa Claus
A long time ago, a man wrote back to me when I asked about Santa. The title
was "Yes Virginia, There is a Santa Claus." Maybe you've heard of it. He
helped me believe that there was a Santa. Not the same way you're talking
about it. It's more like a feeling. A holiday love that everyone feels.
Discussion about bizarre reindeer that fly, time warps, sonic booms, and
really heavy sleighs, though interesting, are not really relevant.
There's nothing wrong with believing in Santa. You don't even have to
believe he's a person. Santa is a state of mind. And it's one of the best
parts of Christmas.
So leave your physics in the classroom. Celebrate Christmas.
Love,
Virginia
