I hate getting sucked into this mpj debate, but here goes.  Yes national 
level teams have an inherent advantage regardless of the type of judging 
assignments that are made.  Random assignments does not equal a level 
playing field.  But Pick 20 does make an already uneven playing field 
more uneven for the reasons that Jack says they do.  Maybe worse than he 
thinks!  As I pointed out before, at nationals you can't be judged by 
judges in your own region.  So Jack could not even pick those judges from 
his own region that he knows and trust!  

Two other observations.  

1.  I'm sure glad to see this discussion leave the personal attacks 
behind and get down to the real issues!

2.  Once again, I think both sides are over stating the impact of this 
decision.  I hope the vote does not discourage anyone from going to 
nationals!
