obviously, Virginia, you have never been to Kansas.
rolling fields of wheat below skies so large that your horizon seems to be
the stars. men and women whose faces wear the hard determination that feeds
a planet and whose bodies contain the hearts of the heartland of America.
those of us who have been fortunate to live for a time in the real Land of
Oz congratulate those who Kansas has selected to represent them. Glen,
please congratulate Ms. Strickland and her assistants for an excellent
showing. it sounds like things are going well at the house.
should anyone else know and would like to post the NFL results from their
districts, i, for one, would enjoy reading them. my guess is that a number
of folks would: if you've got coaches' and students' addresses, that would
be excellent! if they have e-mail addresses, then a note (or several
hundred notes) of congratulations from us CEDA-L folks would probably make
our friends' day.
in other matters, BROWNLEE weighing-in on "the state of CEDA" almost gave me
a heart attack. but it wasn't Don Brownlee: i calmed down. Will, many of
us congratulate Russ Church for many things, but we do so because he has
numerous times demonstrated an understanding and wisdom of CEDA matters.
would you care to stake your claims about how CEDA needs improvement and
then to defend them?
Skip, do you have an address for that student? sounds like he would make a
nice addition to Cornell Forensics -- several of our students have expressed
interest in his ability to "woo women with my sensuous and godlike trombone
playing". i like the fact that he repairs appliances for free.
god, more shooting at the White House this morning. too bad there's no
ocean resources links.
