I wholeheartedly agree with Linda Coye's analysis of the octa's round in
question (a rarity). ALthough personally preoccupied at that time, I know
from talking to another jduge of the round (prof. Unger), that "it was an
excellent debate, just excellent." Although he did mention that it was a
little blippy, he said nonetheless that as a debate, it was very good. Now,
if a debate, even as fast as that one, can be both of quality argumentation and
very fast, I think that meets the best of both worlds. If at least 2 of the
three judges liked the debate and the debaters could handle it, perhaps the
random audience member should reconsider the position of who the debate is for.
I thinkits for the debaters first, the judges second, and then the random
watcher. I think its a 2-1 against Mr. Foti. A CHud
