Re: Prep Time
the question concerning prep time was recently raised and i would like to
contribute my two cents worth to the question. I only attended the
tournaments at West Poimt and UVM so my answer is based on limited
knowledge. Both my partner and I prefered the 8 menit prep time we were
given at UVM to the 5 min we were given at West Point. We felt that we were
able to sort through our evidence and to logically think about how we were
going to make our arguements due to the longer prep time. We were able to
spread the time out so that we both got some amount of prep time before all
of our speeches. Being novices, we valued the time to get organized and to
plan out our "attacks". The 5 min period was not enough for us to have
adaquitly spaced preps before all of our speeches.
Well there's my opinion, sorry if the grammer or anything else is wrong or
doesn't make sense.
