Argumentation and Advocacy



CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR EDITOR

Members of the American Forensic Association are invited to submit 
nominations, including self-nominations for Editor of _Argumentation and 
Advocacy:  The Journal of the American Forensic Association._  The three 
year editorial term will commence in mid-1997 for issues in the years 
1998-2000.  The AFA Constitution assures the editor control over 
selection of editorial board members, and over the editorial content of 
the journal.  Submission should be addressed to the Chair of the AFA 
Publications Committee, Rebecca Bjork, Dept. of Communication, 2400 
Language and Communication Building, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, 
UT  84112.  Nominations should be mailed to arrive no later than 
September 1, 1996 (or a few days thereafter).

The nomination should include:  a letter of interest of nomination, a 
current curriculum vita, and a statement of philosophy or approach to the 
editorial task.  This statement should include the candidate's editorial 
philosophy, vision of the scope of the journal's subject matter 
interests, and may also contain ideas for possible special issues.  The 
statement is the candidate's opportunity to share his or her vision of 
the journal with the Publications Committee.
