CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR EDITOR
Members of the American Forensic Association are invited to submit
nominations, including self-nominations for Editor of _Argumentation and
Advocacy: The Journal of the American Forensic Association._ The three
year editorial term will commence in mid-1997 for issues in the years
1998-2000. The AFA Constitution assures the editor control over
selection of editorial board members, and over the editorial content of
the journal. Submission should be addressed to the Chair of the AFA
Publications Committee, Rebecca Bjork, Dept. of Communication, 2400
Language and Communication Building, University of Utah, Salt Lake City,
UT 84112. Nominations should be mailed to arrive no later than
September 1, 1996 (or a few days thereafter).
The nomination should include: a letter of interest of nomination, a
current curriculum vita, and a statement of philosophy or approach to the
editorial task. This statement should include the candidate's editorial
philosophy, vision of the scope of the journal's subject matter
interests, and may also contain ideas for possible special issues. The
statement is the candidate's opportunity to share his or her vision of
the journal with the Publications Committee.
Please consider applying, or encouraging others to do so. Contact
Rebecca Bjork if you have questions, or suggestions for individuals who
should be encouraged to apply.
