but if that's the game people play (pretend competition makes sense), 
then there are tools and devices that are logically entailed.  as i mention, 
the anti-counterplan post is an introduction to the argument i expect some 
of our teams to use on occasion to respond to some counterplans.

just like "core parametric agreement" is not ultimately what i think 
debate ought to be, but is what i think aff plan focus debate ought 
to be, anti-counterplans are not what debate ought to be, but is what 
"competition" debate ought to be.
