Re: kritik/mexico
A potential critique on the h.s. China topic.
Aff argues, as they resolutionally must, that US significantly changes
its foreign policy toward the PRC
Neg argues that this is unilateral action and that in todays
international relations and world of diplomacy , unilateral action is
bad. Bilateral action or multilateral action is good. Unilateral actions
subvert international action, the UN, international law, the spirit of
interdependcence. NO matter what unilateral US foreign policy action is
taken toward the PRC by its very nature as unilateral action it subverts
bilateralism and multilateralism and is hence flawed.
Aff can of course respond to this in many ways but if Neg argument is
true Aff is screwed and loses no matter what the specifics of their case.
Aff could of course argue this too saying debate resolutions are supposed
to provide fair ground if not equal ground for both sides.
This is a critique on China topic rather than Latin America topic It
doesn't happen to be a language is sexist, agist, racist, patriarchal etc
critique. It is sort of an ethnocentrism is bad critique.
Do people buy it. If so, does it ruin the China topic. If not, why not.
Just curious to start a little controversy.
