Re: Why Frigg is right about everything
Just thought I would point out a double-turn.
First Mr. O'Toole says...
>Not true. It's not the same kind of difference. And hey, I don't
>discriminate against murderers. I don't support or agree with them but I
>don't discriminate against them. >
>
Then he says...
>I'm not sheltering anyone here. I have always stated that I do not
>believe in discrimination of any kind. I'm just trying to open some
>people's eyes. There is a problem that lies within our debate
community.
>Everyone is trying to be so "pc" and deciding what is morally righteous
>for all. Most of the time I agree with what they say. But the problem
>is that anybody who disagrees is shunned and insulted and loses
>credibility.
I think it is more "P.C." to say I don't discriminate against ANYONE
(this includes murderers) than to base our lives on some moral values. I
also don't think anyone is trying to convince others that their view
"trumps" the views of others. Just that we must include some morals in
our decisions to help guide them. I don't think our discussion here make
us lose credibility, or people are out to insult others. Just wasting
time now that there are no cards to cut. So how about that SE Asia.....
