bad judges

While keeping up with the whole bad judge discussion, one thought has crossed
my mind. Everyone wants to win, but I feel a valuable skill one learns in
debate is to adapt to the situation. (When you see teams do this, it is
awesome). We all want the judge we can predict or the judge we understand (and
sometimes there are judges we feel just plain don't like us), but to be able
to overcome the situation is a skill everyone can use for life.

That is not to say some regulation of judges and some sort of strike system
is bad. This is just food for thought.

ps I'm so excited to be coming back to the Northwest! :-)
