All Ceda/NDT members, debaters, coaches-


I am the student representative on the topic committee this year.  It is the
first year that they have had a student on the committee and I think it is
important that I solicite all of the information I can from the student body
and coaches.  There are topic papers that have been submitted and that are
available.  I encourage you all to read them and seriously think about being on
both sides of the debate as well as research capabilities.   Please e-mail me
with your suggestions or backchammel me and I can give you my address and phone
number if that is more condusive to interaction.  As for the students who are
reading this- I really think that you should actively participate in this
procedure - it is the first time that you will actually have a say in the topic
selection and wording.  I encourage everyone to e-mail or write me with
suggestions and ideas. If you don't like the topics you have until April 15 to
submit a paper of your own.  Contact Carrie Crenshaw for more information on
reading all of the papers.  Thanks again
