Professor Robert Branham at Bates College, who serves on the selection
committee. I have posted the same message to APDA and NPDA

TRYOUTS FOR THE
U.S. NATIONAL =
DEBATE TEAMS
MAY 30 - JUNE 1, 1997
ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
The Speech Communication Association=92s Committee for International
Discussion and Debate (C.I.D.D.) will host tryouts for its Fall, 1997,
debating tour of Russia and its Winter, 1998, tour of Great Britain May
30 - June 1 in Orange County, California. Current undergraduates,
recent graduates, and graduate students are welcome to apply.
The C.I.D.D. international debating tours have been conducted annually
since 1950. Expenses are paid for participants from the point of
departure in the United States until their return. =
