NDT voted to take the CEDA topic. This risk was present at that vote.
NDT accepts the result of a repetitive topic as acceptable. They did
not contact CEDA about the topic selection process to help them before
they made their decision. No agreement was reached. Are you saying
now that NDT is after all unwilling to bear this cost? Or perhaps you're
saying NDT's decision imposes a positive obligation on CEDA to cater to
any decisions they make and make debate better for NDT. If you
reason that way, here at Cal I have a little debating association that
has also just decided to merge with CEDA and has been debating the other
areas for the last 8 years and would really like the national security
topic. How shall we accomodate this organization? Please, make the
ZDA's (Zack's Debate Association) merger with CEDA nice and friendly
and select the national security topic.
