Hello all ...

        I'm a high school senior, gearing up to move on to the promised land
of CEDA debate.  I have a pair of humble questions for your most
omnipotent minds....

        The two schools I have been discussing the 'debate
option/scholarship' with are Seattle University and Pacific Universtiy
(Forest Grove, OR).  Debate is not my main concern in my college hunt,
but it is a large factor.  What I wish to know from you is:  Which school is
better, is there anything about either of these schools I should know, and
do you suggest doing debate in college.

        Oh!  One more item.  Does anybody have any inside info. on the
coach shake up at SU.  I read in the student newspaper that he resigned
becasue of some sort of sexual harassment charge....  whats the deal
there, and who is going to be the new coach.

The slippery slope here is real.  Advancements in technology mean that
the government will control what you hear and see, and thus what you
think.  They will make you love big brother.

We can't defeat today's war on immigrants just by being against it in
our=20 minds. We must ACT. Every time an immigrant is locked up, or
denied services, or deported; every time someone is shot at the border
or hounded from a job; every time someone makes an anti-immigrant

This war on immigrants is part of the whole right-wing agenda of the

World Order that we refuse to go along with: If the government tries to
ban art and music that liberates, we put on exhibits and concerts. If they

they tell us to speak only English, we speak Spanish, Creole and Swahili.
If they tell us women and people of color should be "put in their place,"
