more stuff

mostly because i've told ALL of the West stories i have to tell so many
times that i'm beginning to tell Galentine tales. and the Adventures of
Becky are okay by normal human standards, but, you know, they ain't
West's Believe It or Not. and not that Yuri and Glen Do the World
aren't otherwise great tales, but NO ONE believes them now that the boys
are respectable.

nicely done, Kate. so you're just "glad" that the rumor is exaggerated?
just "glad"? so, Mark, what does THAT mean?

which reminds me: if anyone sees Dave Fillipi remind him that his mom
still has the last Emory Peachtree teaset at her house. it's mine. i
want it back. i WILL drive to Topeka this summer to get it if suitable
alternative arrangements cannot be made. there may be blood.

for anyone who cares, Shaffer is a lousy Diplomacy player. had England
yesterday with France, Germany, and Russia played by Diplomacy novices
and still lost. i played Austria and declared jointly with Italy in
1907. Turkey was an experienced player with ambitions far greater than
skills (hi Raj, you suck). his plan-plan and brackets arguments
similarly reveal ...

hey Glen, Jessica REALLY liked the evil clown tattoo... (Greg, tell the
tech illiterate, will you?) still, "excuse me, national champion coming
through" has got to be the best pickup line i have ever heard...

and Upton's William James ala Dr. Seuss analysis of plan-plan reveals a
deeply disturbed mind. i don't think i made ANY of those claims, but
then a mind informed by the synergy of a 19th century psychologist and
the Cat in the Hat would produce free-wheeling readings... thanks to
Jan for cross-posting that gem to ceda-l: i read it a second time and
still didn't get it ... and Pat, THAT is the best ya'll will have to
say against plan-plan? you're just goading Pace, aren't you: then the
GOOD answers come out? otherwise another W for NY over Cali.

so who's going to the Jarman-Messerli wedding? by my count this will
make the 7th CEDA National Champion to get married. and the 2nd (i
think) debater-debater wedding from the pool. have the Mallards
reproduced yet? just a note here: Cornell welcomes any and all
debater-debater progeny. while we share the common view that such
children are born ill-fated, we think that we can turn them around ...

and finally, yes, the rumors are true. the likely move of Berman to
coach at Miami has Charron considering a return from the real world of
writing legal briefs to coaching. should that occur, my sympathies to
all debaters concerned ...

it's the people, stupid.
