OK, OK. Ya got me. I think that the economy topic is a good compromise. I 
like the idea - just trying to figure out what a good resolution would 
be. Talk about broad - or narrow - this topic could turn into anything. 

Here are some of my little ideas:

Resolved: that the U.S. government should significantly increase/decrease 
taxation rates.

That's huge. Remember - these are extremely preliminary ideas from 
someone who knows little about the economy.

Resolved: that the power of the Federal Reserve Board should be reduced.

Resolved: that Alan Greenspan should remain head of the FRB.

Resolved: that the U.S. government should significantly decrease tariffs 
on international trade.


Resolved: that the U.S. government should rely on budget cuts rather than 
increased taxes to balance federal budget.

Resolved: that the U.S. government should eliminate off-budget 
calculations in determining the federal budget deficit.

Any more ideas/input on these?
