I do believe that Trident submarines are necessary for deterrence.

I don't necessarily think we need 4 more of them.  14 should be enough.
Actually about 10 would be enough.

I don't think 18 Tridents would violate (or have been percieved to violate)
START 2.

I do think that a credible U.S. nuclear umbrella is necessary to prevent 
the proliferation of our allies.  The Mandelbaum evidence from Foreign 
Affairs of this year is very persuasive in this regard.

That's about it, I did believe in a large part of the case and thought it 
worked well.  Geesh, it won us regionals, it couldn't have been that bad.


Also, my vote for most entertaining case definately goes to nude beaches.
Especially the card about how "seeing 200 sweating people at noon standing 
in line for egg salad is not sexy."

I would however severely question the thought of Berman jaunting around in 
the nude however ;).  Scary stuff.
