Syracuse Needs Your HELP!!

Shortly before we left for CEDA Nationals, the Syracuse University Debate
Team was informed that Syracuse's College of Visual and Performing Arts
would no longer provide us with a travel budget (but would continue to
provide us with coaching and office space).  We are therefore looking for
another internal source of funding for our travel budget starting with the
1995-96 academic year.  To that end, we are respectfully requesting that
our colleagues in the debate community send letters of support to our
Chancellor: 

	Chancellor Kenneth A. Shaw
	Syracuse University
	300 Tolley Administration Building
	Syracuse NY  13244

This was a good year for us, with Michael and Isaac winning regionals and
advancing to double-octos at nationals, and with Shannon emerging as one
of the top new debaters in our region.  I am sure that Dan and whoever
replaces me will lead the team to even greater successes next year, but
only if they are actually able to travel.  We appreciate your support.
