CEDA NATIONALS DAY ONE

The general business meeting was interesting. Here are some items from it.

Tournament settled at 216 teams.

Amiee Anderson of So. Utah will be on the final round panel.

Various motions passed:
-To submit an amendment for mail vote deleting the "3 tournament" section of
eligibility;
-To submit an amendment for mail vote o exempt the JV-novice nationals
tournaments from the 3 tournament rule.
-To submit an amendment for mail vote to change "NDT/CEDA" to
"intercollegiate debate" in the eligibility rule.

On to the tournament:

Hmm....16 strikes. How to use them all.

There is quite a bit of walking, but the campus is nice, the weather good,
and there is time to move around, so people are not complaining too much.

The Aztec Center has a good gathering space and good food options. Other good
food options are close by. I suggest the "Fish Taco" shack for good eats.

Rounds 1 & 2 came out together and came off well. Round three was held on
time.

Not much time to eat afterwards.

Falling asleep in San Diego.....
