Re: Val's litany against Weiss paradigm



One thing you said which was important (out of many) is that it is not enough
to just stay away from these tournaments. We need to stay away from them and
tell them why we disagree with what they are doing. It is one thing to
complain about something you don't like and to not support it, but I think it
can be very positive to make them feel the heat of your arguments.
Ultimately, that is the most substantive tool we have. I have found that they
don't like you any better for it, but it does get your point accross.

However, we need to say them in such a way that they will consider it. Work
from inside their position. Try link turns. Be friendly. Avoid ad hominems.
Speak out.

I would have been more familiar with the style of your remarks if you had
numbered them, however. *joke*

Your region needs a thoughtful spokesperson like you. Hang in there!
