NIST
I have been a part of the Retrieval Group in the Information Technology Laboratory of the National Institute of Standards and Technology for the last seven years. Projects I have worked on include an indexing-and-searching program and numerous web interfaces for data assessment. Additional tasks I have performed include shot boundary reference data creation, system administrator support, and maintaining the group web sites.
Robocup
I was a core member and webmaster of the Smokin' Jays, Johns Hopkins University's Robocup team, from 2005-2006. I worked for two semesters on a color-based vision system for the Robocup middle size league environment. I also worked on teams under two JHU Center for Educational Resources grants, Robomodule, and the Robot Soccer Simulator.
Math Skills Development Project
For the last year and a half I have been working with Dr. Melissa Murphy of the Math Skills Development Project at the Kennedy Krieger Institute developing software to aid in math learning disability research.
