The following links provide detailed information on using jhunix
for developing assignments. General information on homework
submission is below.
- FAQ about JHUNIX <-- includes general
instructions on using this system to write and compile programs
- Go to HITS Account Setup Web Page to
activate an jhunix account. Non-homewood students must get a letter from me in order to obtain an account.
- Electronic submission on JHUNIX <-- how to submit
your homework - you will get a 0 for any homework not submitting
electronically on jhunix
Program Submission
HARD COPY: You must submit a hard copy printout of all C++ source code
(*.cpp and *.h files) for your weekly programming homework. Bring this to
class on the due date and place in the envelope corresponding to your jhunix1
login. There is only one set of envelopes for both lecture times. Staple
together all printouts for each week's assignment. Make sure that your name,
jhunix account, email, phone number, the assignment number, and the course
number (600.109) are on the front page. You will lose points if you do not
staple.
SOFT COPY: You must submit an electronic version of all source code for
each week's assignment through our automated program on JHUNIX. Do NOT
e-mail any homework. This is NOT an accepted means of electronic submission.
You can telnet to
jhunix.hcf.jhu.edu if you have a PC with an internet connection. Make
sure you keep an electronic copy of all files you submit (ie, do NOT delete or
change them in your account after you submit them). See electronic submission instructions for details.
