THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH SUBMIT ON JHUNIX FROM ABOUT 1AM TO 11:30AM. IT HAS BEEN FIXED AND THE DEADLINE FOR ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION EXTENDED SO THAT YOU CAN ALL GO BACK AND SUBMIT FILES ELECTRONICALLY BY 5PM. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED. PRINTOUTS ARE NOT ENOUGH FOR US TO GRADE.
Assignment 9 extended to Friday, 5/6, NOON. Drop off printouts in NEB 224. You might want to review the last (week 12) lab project for inspiration/similar coding structure.
Review session for the third test will be Sunday, 5/1, 7:30pm in Shaffer 100. Chapter 14 will be on the third test, since it wasn't on the second.
A sample practice test3 is available. Answers can be found here. Try to do the test yourself as quickly as possible before looking at the answers.
WARNING 131 on jhunix appears to be a problem with the string library. It doesn't have anything to do with writing our own classes. Despite the warnings, programs are compiling and running, so it should be ok to ignore them. Just make sure that those are the ONLY compiler messages (ie, that no ERRORS are hidden between the WARNINGS).
The sizeof operator does NOT work as Dr. H described in class wednesday. See code/pointers.cpp for a revision and explanation.
Review session for the second test will be Sunday, 4/3, 7:30pm in Shaffer 100. Chapter 14 will not be on the test as originally scheduled.

For assignment 6, assume the maze is at most 30 by 30 in size.

Any extensions to the first or second assignment due to jhunix problems or other reasons excused by Dr. H must be completed by NOON FRIDAY, 2/18. Submit them carefully via email using the instructions on the FAQ webpage.

Students without prior programming experience are strongly encouraged to take 600.108 Intro Programming Lab or 600.106 Algorithmic Thinking as a 1 credit supplement to this course.
ALL STUDENTS MUST APPLY ON-LINE FOR AN JHUNIX ACCOUNT. You will be required to do assignments on this system starting 2/2. This is a HITS computer, not anything maintained by the computer science department. See the syllabus and computer use webpages for more details.
After you get into your jhunix account, hit 'e' to exit to shell prompt, and then return/enter to accept the default terminal type. Then you will have your Unix prompt. Type
```
~jhoulah1/bin/nixtutor
```
to run an interactive Unix tutorial program. Be sure to "exit" the program and then "exit" to logout when you are done experimenting with your account.
