My brother and I enjoying the famous Baltimore crabs TOWSON Bangkok Place: Cheap Thai Food. The food isn’t as good as ‘The Thai Restaurant’ but it’s fairly decent. Nice service. $8-12*** The Thai Restaurant: Great Thai food $11-15*** Simons: One of the best restaurants I’ve EVER been too. It’s a small cozy restaurant that serves Cajun style seafood and pastas. It’s a perfect candlelit date place. The tables are very close together but there’s an intimate feeling to it. The food was amazing for that price. There’s live jazz music random nights at 8. $16-25***** Towson’s Best: It’s a typical Chinese restaurant. Nothing extraordinary. $8-12*** Szechwan House: Finally, a real Chinese restaurant! Authentic food, ask for the special menu. You get sorbet at the end too! $8-12 **** Towson Kabobi: Pretty yummy Persian food. It's small and a little shady looking, but the owners are nice. $8-10 ** Dulaney’s Steak and Seafood: Boo...Didn't like. It was expensive food with no taste. Located in the Sheraton. $15-25* San Sushi Too: Mmmmmm...awesome yummy food. I love their Thai food. Best Thai food I've had so far. 12-18**** Sushi Hana: Favorite Japanese restaurant in Baltimore! Very pretty and highly recommended. Kind of hit or miss. The good rolls are really amazing. 17-20 **** Golden Gate Noodle House: Pretty good stuff. The casual Chinese food is above average but what's entertaining about this place is the infamous rude waitresses, but they're funny. 5-8*** Los Amigos: A small hole in the wall with great Peruvian food. $6 *** Smoothie King: Ahh, a replacement for Jamba Juice. It might (dare I say) be better. $4-5 **** Pasta Mista: I like the pizza! You order at the counter and it's cheap and nice! $3 a slice *** Bahama Breeze: Fun atmosphere with a nice tropical touch. Food was yummy, especially the cinnamon mashed sweet potatoes. Their bathrooms are cute too! $16-18*** FELLS POINT Crabby Dicks: Mediocre seafood. Really fun ambiance. There’s a store in front that sells things with funny slogans. A touristy place. The food was nothing special $16-25** Coopers: Good hearty hamburger/bar place. On Tuesday’s there’s half off burgers. =) $8-10 *** The Green Turtle: Typical bar with an emphasis on country ** FEDERAL HILL Thirsty Dog: Fun for bar hopping. Alot of working professionals in federal hill. Serves pizzas and that sort. 8-11*** CHARLES VILLAGE Orient Express: Like mall Chinese food. Has lunch specials around 5 dollars. There’s also a sushi place in there (not so good) $7-9** Angelos: World’s largest slice of pizza and lemme tell you, it’s HUGE. Cheap and quick. It’s worth checking out. $4-5*** Eddies: It’s a grocery store with a deli and salad bar. Salad bar’s 3.99 a pound and the deli’s nice but a little more expensive. $7-8*** University Mini: A convenient store that makes sandwiches. Better than subways $6-8 *** C.C. Carryout: Seems like no one’s ever there. Doesn’t take credit cards. Decent food $5-7** Paper Moon Café: Good 24 hour diner but a little on the pricey side. $8-12 *** Rocky Run: Fun burger place. Like a family bar type deal but a little dirty. $8-12 ** Charles Village Pub: Sketchy bar with really slow service. Cheap Sunday brunch. $6-9** Donnas: A classy Italian café. Nice ambiance and great food $9-14 **** Pjs: A cheap bar with aiight food. Half price burgers on Tuesday which makes it like 2.50. $6-11 * Subway: Typical subways, but doesn’t have the special deals other subways have. $5-6** Blimpies: blah ~$5-6* Xando: Cute coffee date place. Since there’s no starbucks anywhere near campus *gasp* this quaint quirky coffee/quesadillas place is the next best place. It’s got a great environment. I haven't eaten there, just had their drinks. *** Ruby Tuesdays: Such slow service, tastes like TGI Fridays. $8-12* Gagas: Good ice cream .=) $3-4**** Silk Road: On campus Chinese, Indian, sandwich place. Pretty cheap and good food. $5 **** Tambers Nifty Fifties: Indian meets fifties diner. There’s good homecooked American food and a page in the back of Indian food. Pretty good food. $7-12**** Niwanas: Korean-Japanese restaurant right off campus. Good food, slow service $9-15**** Gertrudes: Located in the Baltimore Museum of Art, this restaurant had soft piano playing accompanying terrific food. Can't be a beautiful fountain and sophistication. The brunch is highly recommended and is absolutely delicious. $11-22 ***** Donnas: A nice restaurant in Baltimore. A trendy posh cafe with great food and fries (sweet potatoes are super). $11-15 **** Paul Chen: In a shady area of town but the food is decent. Less greasy than Orient Express. $7-9 *** Alyssas: Half off Pizzas on Monday. Excellent deal! There's also Indian cuisine served there. $10-14 ** MOUNT VERNON Helmands: Everyone raves about this Afgan restaurant. It’s fairly good and crowded. Food is very good. $13-18**** Fortune Szechwan: A nice Chinese restaurant that has a lunch buffet. $8-12** Thai Landing: Decent thai food. But the menu only has spicy food. $11-14** Kumari: Great Indian food. $9-13*** Mugal Gardens: Has a great lunch buffet $8 *** Zodiac: Right across from the Charles theater. Has super awesome food. It's a chic Asian American fusion restaurant. Dark and artsy $11-22 **** Charles Tapas: Right next to the Charles theater. You can order little tapas (~8) and share. Everything has a unique delicious flavor. $15 **** Brewers Art: It’s a two level bar. Top level is classy and the bottom is a dark sketch area. Food is a little pricy but decent. $9-14*** Mick O' Shea's: Irish pub with a live band. Very bawdy and a lot of fun with friends. *** Never On Sundays: A great place to get a late night meal. It's open until 3am and has yummy fresh food. A Greek/pizza dinner. $5-7 **** LITTLE ITALY Sabatino's: My favorite place to eat in Little Italy. Great food $14-19 **** Germanos Trattoria: Decent food, but nothing spectacular. There was no one there except little fruit flies. $13-21 * Vaccaro's: Amazing, this place is sooo good. It’s a dessert shop that’s always crowded and so much fun. Great price and fun atmosphere $3-10 ***** Amiccis: Good food, large portions. Most of Little Italy tastes about the same. They're famous for their large shrimp on bread with cream sauce appetizer which is a meal itself. Amazing buttery sauce. $11-18 **** DOWNTOWN Lexington Market: A collection of stands and markets. Large variety of food (including fresh seafood like oysters and crabs) It reminds me of NY Chinatown. Cheap and fast food. Has music playing on the weekends and a fun place to walk around. $4-6 **** Hardrock Café: touristy, not that great food…decent prices $8-15 ** Phillips Seafood: A lot of food, aiight taste $25 ** Obrycki's: Great fun. Get a hammer and smash up crabs. Pricey seafood $15-30**** Burkes: It came highly recommended by my friend but I really didn't like the bar atmosphere and slow service. Only went there for breakfast but it was a typical breakfast place. $6-8 ** Chinatown Cafe: I had heard great things from this place, and it is supposed to be one of two authentic Chinese restaurant in Baltimore (the other is Szechwan house, which I personally like better) I only tried the Dim Sum which was good but they don't push around the dim sum carts. Instead you order off a list which isn't as fun but the food was good. I heard the dishes were even better. Service was reallly slow though.**** MEDICAL CAMPUS Northern market: Like a smaller version of Lexington market $4-6*** Happy Teriyakis: Cheap Japanese fast food. There’s always a special of the day that gives so much food. There’s also free kim chee! $6 *** New China: Typical fast food Chinese. $5-7 * YORK Café Zen: A very popular classy Chinese restaurant. It’s ranked really well and the portions are huge and not so greasy. $8-12**** Saigon Remembered: Amazing Vietnamese restaurant. Very flavorful and so yummy! $11-14 ***** Egyptian Pizza: Decent food, the rice dishes are a little dry, super pizzas. $9-13 *** Belvedere Plaza: A super posh yuppy market that's reminiscent of Palo Alto in California. Sells fresh cheeses, meats and flowers. The restaurant there has soup, salads, and sandwiches. The sandwiches aren't anything special but the soups are great! It's always very crowded on weekends.*** Pei Wei: I love this place. You pay at the counter but the ambiance is so beautiful and nice.
