Events

Regular Events: When school is in session we aim to hold monthly dinner meetings with an invited guest speaker and yummy food. We also meet informally in "Coding Circles" weekly throughout the semester.

Spring 2013 Schedule:

  • Dinner/speaker meetings are on ocassional Tuesdays starting at 5:30 in Hackerman 320:
    2/26: Prof. Rebecca Schulman, ChemBE/CS
    3/26: Dr. Christine Piatko, APL
    4/23: Prof. Rachel Karchin, BME/CS
  • Coding Circles are on Fridays from roughly 4:30-5:30pm, in NEB 215. Come when you can, leave when you have to. We will have sewing lessons scattered throughout this semester by participant request.

Special Outreach Event: We hosted an introduction to programming workshop for current students on campus on Saturday, April 14th. This was a gentle and fun introduction to the world of programming led by WiCS members for current undergraduate students in Shaffer 1 from 11a-1p. We plan on running this event once a semester around registration time.
