Some Natural Language Generators
- Babbler:
An ms-dos app that, well, babbles. Its output is kinda fun, but can you
believe that this guy wants a shareware fee for this nonsense?!?
- MarkV:
Uses n-gram statistics to try to re-generate an input text. Sound
familiar? It's somewhat old, and not very impressive at all. For
ms-dos.
- Foggy:
Generates 'foggy' text on one of three topics. Quite boring. For ms-dos.
Other Neat Stuff
- Try
talking to a machine. This is a program which tries to pass
the Turing Test by convincing you that it's a real person. Yeah, right.
- My personal favorite: the Sweedish-Chef-erator. Here is the
sun-4m binary
(for hops), and this is the
source.
Compile it with
cc chef-lex.yy.c -ll. Translate your
favorite text to authentic Sweedish-Chef-ese. Here's an
example.
