Welcome!

I finished my Ph.D. in the Department of Computer Science at The Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. I was part of the Computational Interaction and Robotics Lab and the NSF Engineering Research Center for Computer-Integrated Surgical Systems and Technology (ERC-CISST). My advisor was Dr. Greg Hager. I was also co-advised by Dr. Christine Lorenz at Siemens Corporate Research. Presently, I'm a Scientist at the Computer Aided Diagnostics Group at Siemens Medical Solutions.

Research

Broadly, my research interests are in the areas of computer vision, medical imaging, pattern recognition, image-guided surgery and interventions and robotics. My distertation work involved development of image-based tracking methods, specifically for image-guided surgery and improved motion compensation for Magnetic Resonance (MR) Imaging of cardiac structures like coronary arteries and valves. My thesis can be downloaded here.
